SWFC Obervatory and Downton Shanghai 09.03.08

Today CIEE took us to Downtown Shanghai. It was breath taking. It is so hard to describe how beautiful the city is. I took a lot of pictures, but the pictures don't come out that great because It is really foggy here because of pollution. Beijing is a lot worst though. We visited the second tallest building in the world, The Shanghai World Financial Center (SWFC). Taking the elevator up, you can feel the pressure from the altitude. Your ears get the same feeling when going deep under water. Once at the top you get a great view of the Oriental Pearl Tower, the Jin Mao Building, and the hundred of apartment complexes around down town. I really want to go at night. You also get to see cranes in action. There are so many cranes in China. 25% of the worlds cranes are in China. You know how statistics are though. You can never really trust people and statistics. To me it seems more like 50%. Hope you enjoy the pictures.
