Trains here in China have different sections. They are soft sleepers, hard sleepers, and hard seats. We were on hard sleepers. There are 6 beds in each cabin. They're really not that hard compared to my bed at home in Shanghai.
This picture is out of order, but this is us out of the train. We finally arrived to Hainan. It was only a 15 minute van ride to our hotel.
Here's Charlie drinking away the hours.
Played a lot of cards and watched a lot of movies.
Noodles is what we had for breakfast, lunch and dinner. They were pretty good, but after 36 hours of being on a train, one can easily get tired of the same food.
This was the cafeteria on the train. I thought this picture captures perfectly our excitement of being on a train for 36 hours.
